The year we have all been waiting for, right? Let’s be honest it hasn't quite lived up to expectation quite yet, but did we really expect the clock to strike 12 on New Year’s Eve and Covid 19 to disappear? I think not! As long as we are staying at home for now, safe and looking after loved ones that is all that we can do! Anyway, that’s the end of Covid talk in this blog post... I wanted to let you know what we are up to here at Isabloom HQ for the beginning of the year while in lockdown. WE ARE OPEN!

Weddings and events

Sadly, weddings and events are still not going ahead but there is definitely a glimmer of hope for Spring Summer. My 2021 couples and I remain hopeful and excited. Although you will not see a lot about Isabloom weddings at the moment a lot is happening in the background. As we head in to Spring there will be lots of final consultations going ahead. This is when my couples and I get together (virtually of course) to finalise the wedding floral plans. This happens around 8 weeks before the wedding. It is always so nice to catch up with them after what is usually quite a long time. We both go away with a refresh in our minds of how the day will look and the excitement is real!

Now that we are in 2021, we also have lots of (virtual again) initial consultations happening for 2021 and 2022 weddings as a result of all the Christmas and New Year engagements. It still feels so strange saying 2022 as it feels like we just skipped 2020!

Before you book your initial consultation, I recommend having a look into colour schemes, flowers you like and getting a mood board together so that we can use this as a starting point for our discussions. It is not essential, and I am here to help and advice but it’s always good to get an idea of what you like and your style. Find out more here and to book in a consultation for your 2021 or 2022 weddings please get in touch.

Fresh flowers

Bouquets for every occasion from a birthday to a 'just because' are keeping us very busy during these lockdowns. Sending flowers is such a good way to mark occasions that we can't celebrate, stay in touch with loved ones safely and let them know that you care and are thinking of them.

Here at Isabloom we source only seasonal flowers from a local supplier and choose seasonal and uplifting colours dependent on the occasion and your requests.

People are also loving treating themselves to some flowers to cheer up the house as we are spending a huge amount of time at home of course.

It looks like Valentine’s Day and even Mother’s Day could be spent in lockdown, so we will be doing all we can to make these important dates even more special than usual providing those little lifts we all need. The Valentines shop will be live from Monday.

All of our bouquets are wrapped in sustainable and recyclable products in keeping with our footprint as a business. Available in Bristol for delivery or collection. You can shop here.

Dried flowers

Dried flowers are a big part of what we do here at Isabloom and will continue to be. As always, we have dried bouquets for delivery or collection in Bristol and we have our Forever Flower Boxes. Started in the first lockdown the letter box flowers are again such a lovely gift to send to loved ones anywhere in the UK. Dried flower stems are beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and sent in a letterbox in a colour scheme of your choice. They were so popular over Christmas and continue to prove popular now, we hope to do more and more of them. You can shop dried flowers here.

Funeral flowers

I get asked a lot if I do funeral flowers and the answer is yes. Isabloom offers beautiful bespoke funeral flowers following a consultation with the family. Please find out more here.

Staying safe

It is my priority to keep all at Isabloom and all of my clients safe during these times. Everything is sanitised daily and cleaning is kept very much on top of. Masks are worn during times such as visiting the flower market or coming into closer contact with any clients. All deliveries are contactless. The door will be knocked and the bouquet left on the doorstep to be safely collected. If at any point we need to self isolate of course we will do so straight away and are always keeping up to date with the guidelines.

The flower market and industry will continue in this lockdown if they see a demand for fresh flower so lets show that demand, keep eachother safe and keep each other smiling x
